Yoga IS Relationship

Today I had just a short walk, instead of my usual long one. I didn’t do my mat practice. I didn’t do my chanting.

I can feel it.

Even so, my Yoga today was fundamental; it was in relating. Lengthy conversations with my Whole Heart Collective sisters, my beloved, friends in Europe, a neighbour (at a distance). Laughter, tears, fears, grace and showing up for each other; giving and receiving.

Whilst my physical body has been attended to differently than usual, another part of me has been moved and renewed.
Yoga IS relationship - in the inhale-exhale partnership, in the above-below partnership, in the expand-contract pulse of Spanda.

Each day our Yoga has a different flavour. Sometimes we let ourselves off any hook we’ve placed upon ourselves (or rather a hook we’ve received from an outside source) and let our Yoga just be as it is arising; if our activities have the qualities of steady, relaxed focus and go in a direction we’ve consciously chosen (no aimless reading of the news or social media scrolling), then that’s Yoga right there.

See you Thursday for some moving in relationship to the breath and each other,
